Image Credits and Sources Policy

I care about clear, honest attribution. This page explains how I credit images on homedesingideas.com, what counts as acceptable use, and how you can request changes if something needs attention.

What I publish

I use three kinds of visuals on this site and related social channels:

Original images I style myself
Community submissions shared with permission
Third party images from brands, creators, or licensed libraries when needed for context

Each image type is labeled in the post or near the gallery whenever practical.

How I credit creators

When I share an image that is not mine, I include the creator name and a link to the primary source when available. If a brand or photographer requires a specific format, I follow it. If a post is a roundup with many sources, I place credits within or directly below the collage, or in a clearly marked source list at the end of the post.

What counts as the primary source

The primary source is the person or entity that created the work or commissioned it and published first. When an image has been widely reposted, I do my best to trace back to the origin. If I cannot confirm the origin, I will describe the image and note that the original source is unclear while I continue to research.

Community submissions

If you send me photos for a feature, you confirm you own the rights or have secured permission to share them. By submitting, you grant me a non exclusive, royalty free license to publish the images on this site and my official social channels, with credit to you when feasible. You can revoke permission for future use at any time by emailing editor@homedesingideas.com, and I will remove non essential references on a go forward basis.

Edited and AI assisted visuals

Some images on this site may be edited using photo software to adjust exposure, color, perspective, or to remove minor distractions. I may also use artificial intelligence tools to create concept mockups or to enhance clarity. AI assisted images are labeled as such and are used to visualize design ideas, not to claim a real world result that does not exist yet.

Color accuracy and representation

I try to present true to life color, but screens and lighting vary. Paints, textiles, and finishes may look different in your home. Always test samples in your own light before buying large quantities or booking trades.

Removal and corrections policy

If you are a rights holder and believe I have used your image without appropriate permission or credit, email dmca@homedesingideas.com with:

The direct URL where the image appears
A description of the image and proof of ownership or authority
How you would like me to proceed, such as updating credit, adding a link, or removing the image

I review and act on valid requests as quickly as possible. For urgent issues, include Urgent in the subject line.

Non commercial use by readers

Readers may save or pin my images for personal inspiration within Pinterest or similar platforms. Do not repost full tutorials, galleries, or multiple images without written permission. For press use, please email media@homedesingideas.com with your request and lead time.

Metadata and transparency

I keep internal records for creator names, contact info when available, license terms, and dates of publication. When an image is AI assisted or a composite, I include that note within the caption or nearby text.

Updates

Attribution standards and tools evolve. I review this policy periodically to keep it accurate and practical.
